　　萧山概况

　　General Situation of Xiaoshan

　　萧山，地处中国东南沿海，是浙江省会城市杭州最大的一个区。面积1420平方公里，人口118万。萧山是中国民营企业最发达的地区之一，主要经济指标实绩连续多年居浙江省首位，在全国百强县（市、区）综合实力排名中连续五年名列第七。2005年全区GDP超过588亿元，财政收入64亿元，工业总产值达到2006亿元，人均GDP逾6000美元，是“世界羽绒之都”、“中国花木之乡”、“中国纺织生产基地”、“中国钢结构产业基地”、“中国汽车零部件生产基地”。

　　Xiaoshan,located on the southeast coast of China,is the biggest district of Hangzhou,which is the provincial capital of Zhejiang province.It covers total area of 1420 square kilometers and has a population of 1.18 million.Xiaoshan is one of the regions with the most developed private economy in China.Main economic indices of Xiaoshan have ranked the first in Zhejiang Province for consecutive years and the comprehensive strength has ranked seventh in National Top 100 Counties(Cities,Districts)for five successive years.In 2005,the GDP of Xiaoshan amounted to RMB 58.8 billion, the total revenue reached RMB 6.4 billion, the industrial output value hit RMB 200.6 billion and the percapita GDP exceeded USD 6000. Xiaoshan has been named as "Down Capital of the World","China Plants Park","China Textile Production Base","China Steel Structure Industrial Base" and "China Auto Fittings Production Base".

　　

　　萧山已形成全方位、多层次、宽领域的开放格局，拥有国家级萧山经济技术开发区，省级临江工业园区、钱江世纪城（CBD）、湘湖旅游度假区、高新技术产业园区等。萧山良好的投资环境吸引了来自40余个国家和地区的1300余家外商投资企业落户，其中包括美国GE、日本伊藤忠、丸红、丰田通商、双日、雅马哈、花王、韩国SK、瑞典爱立信等知名跨国公司。

　　Xiaoshan has formed an all-directional,multi-level and wide-ranging opening-up pattern, owning State-level Xiaoshan Economic & Technological Development Zone, Qianjiang Century CBD, Xianghu Tourism Holiday Resort,High-tech industrial Park and so on.Attracted by its nice investment environment,over 1300 foreign-funded enterprises from more than 40 countries and regions have settled down in Xiaoshan,including GE from America, ltochu, Marubeni, Toyota Tshsho, Sojitz, Yamaha, Kao from Japan, SK from Korea, Ericsson from Sweden,etc.

　　

　　萧山地理位置优越，水陆空交通便利。境内的杭州萧山国际机场与香港机场合资经营，目前已开通曼谷、首尔、新加坡、东京、大阪及中国香港、澳门等境外航线。沪杭磁悬浮铁路建设已经批准，沪杭第二高速公路开工建设，以及钱塘江上十座大桥、过江隧道开通和杭州地铁工程逐步实施，萧山与香港、上海、杭州的“同城效应”日益显现。

　　Xiaoshan enjoys favorable location and convenient transportation in water, land and air.Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has established joint operation with Airport Authority HongKong. It has opened international routes to HongKong China, Macao China, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore ,Tokyo and Osaka, etc... ShanghaiHangzhou magnetic levitation train has been approved by the authority. The ongoing projects of Hangzhou-Shanghai Second Expressway, ten bridges over Qiantang River, tunnel across Qiantang River as well as the subway are being sped-up, which will lead to a strong "the same city effect" for linking Xiaoshan and HongKong, Shanghai, Hangzhou.

　　

　　萧山还拥有丰富的旅游资源。气势壮观的钱江涌潮是举世闻名的天下奇观，每年的中国国际（萧山）钱江观潮节吸引了众多国内外游客。境内的湘湖风光秀丽，被誉为西湖的“姐妹湖”。2006年4月22日至10月22日，’2006世界休闲博览会在萧山举办。

　　Xiaoshan also has rich tourism resources. The tidal bore of the Qiantang River is one of the wonders of nature. China International(Xiaoshan) Qianjiang Tidal Bore Festival every year attracts thousands of tourists from home and abroad. Xianghu Lake within the confines of Xiaoshan enjoys beautiful scenery and is named as the "sister lake" of the West Lake. '2006 World Leisure Expo is held in Xiaoshan from Apr.22nd to Oct. 22nd, 2006.

　　For its beautiful environment, convenient transportation and broad prospects, Xiaoshan is becoming a nice destination of investment in Yangze River Delta,keeping to the spirit of "being brave in the competition and to be the best".

　　中欧企业合作论坛会议简介

　　Brief Introduction to China-Europe Business Forum

　　“中欧企业合作论坛”由中华人民共和国商务部欧洲司、外贸发展事务局和中国外商投资企业协会联合主办，中华全国工商业联合会协办，中共杭州市萧山区委、杭州市萧山区人民政府承办，2006年9月29日至9月30日在杭州市萧山区开元名都大酒店举办。会议目的是促进中国和欧洲企业的合作与交流，扩大中欧贸易，吸引欧洲企业投资中国，推动中国民营企业走向海外，重点向欧洲企业推介中国民营企业。此次会议我们将邀请商务部、中国外商投资企业协会的领导，以及中外专家、学者、企业界人士做专题演讲，由企业推介，产业对接，实地考察等议程组成。参会宾客有来自欧洲驻华使领馆官员，欧洲知名企业，在华欧资企业以及部分中国大型民营企业500强代表。

　　China-Europe Business Forum is sponsored by the Department of European Affairs and the Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce（MOFCOM） of the People's Republic of China and China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment（CAEFI）, co-sponsored by the Economic Affairs Department of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce（ACFIC）,and undertaken by Hangzhou Xiaoshan District Committee of CPC and Hangzhou Xiaoshan District People's Government, which will be held in New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou on Sept. 29th-30th, 2006. The purpose of the conference is to promote the communication and cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises, expand China-Europe trade, attract the investment from European enterprises, promote Chinese private enterprises to "go global"as well as introduce Chinese private enterprises to European enterprises. We will invite leaders from Ministry of Commerce(MOFCOM)and china association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment（CAEFI）, Chinese and foreign experts,scholars and entrepreneurs to make topic speeches. The forum also consists of enterprise introducion,industrial matchmaking, first-hand investigation and so on. Guests and participants are officials from foreign embassies in China, delegates from famous European enterprises，Europe-invested enterprises in China and a part of Chinese large-scale private enterprises.

　　

　　此次会议的成功举行，必将进一步加深欧洲对中国经济特别是民营经济的了解，促进欧洲企业与中国民营企业的互动，为两地企业开拓新市场，提升竞争力，促进新发展提供极好的平台。

　　The conference will have positive significance on deepening European people's understanding of Chinese economy especially private economy as well as facilitating the interaction between European enterprises and Chinese private enterprises. It will also provide a good platform for Chinese and European enterprises to explore new markets, enhance competitiveness and promote new development.
